Hi there! I own the dealership across the street. I eat at least a couple meals at your Subway location whenever I'm in town. Came in again tonight, and your dining room was quite busy. I never appreciate when people (who've never owned a business) try to tell me how to run (and staff) mine, so I won't do that to you either. I DO want to inform you, however, just how impressed I was by a young lady working behind the counter named Makayla.
I placed, and paid for my order in advance through the Subway app. I was hoping to just run in, grab my preordered meal, and get back on the highway for home. But upon entering I noticed a line had formed in your dining room. If I hadn't already paid, I probably would have gone a different route, but I was about to be inspired. Makayla was working, all by herself, and to blunt, making the most out of a pretty daunting situation. She was amazing--staying so calm, collected, polite and professional--especially at her young age. I wish I handled stress with such grace. I felt like telling her "nevermind about my sandwich, I'll work the cash register, while you make the sandwiches."
I don't know if Subway has any kind of formal employee recognition program. In my opinion, however, if there was ever an individual deserving of your acknowledgement, it is Makayla. Please see that she is praised for her unquestionable dedication to favorably representing your business. -

An employee made us wait several minutes while she prepped trays of bread. A customer was barefoot. Another customer walked behind the counter to refill his drink. Kind of casual standards. They didn't have ANY cookies. Just a few bags of chips displayed. It wasn't crowded and there were two employees, so I'm surprised it wasn't cleaner or better stocked.

The service was terrible. "Blade" or whoever took our order was rudely abrupt, half-heartedly greeting us with "what do you want?" Yes Blade, we came to Subway knowing we wanted a sandwich, but not wanting the attitude that went with it. When my sandwich was passed down the assembly line, I was asked by a female employee with an even more abrupt, "what do you want?" No smile, or any sense of decent customer service. What I REALLY wanted, was to know if she hated her job, her life or a combination of both. Working in the customer service industry for a couple of years, I realize that people have bad days, but the two employees that "helped" me seemed to deliberately act as if they were doing me the favor, even though the receive pay for their JOB. The ONLY decent customer service we received was by the female cashier with glasses.

Obviously Subway doesn't count as a fine dining experience, but I have to say that this is the worst Subway I have been in. It is quite dirty. There is a ceiling fan above the area where they make sandwiches and when you first walk in all you can see is the thick frosting of dust on the leading edge of the fan blades. I'm sure plenty of that dust finds its way into your meatball sub.
Not far from here, you can get a sandwich at The Pizza Factory that tastes much better. Toms Deli on South Bluff is also a better choice. -
